Our speakers for our October, 26, 2011 meeting will be Attorney Mark Robbins of the Law firm of Littler Mendelson. and Lupe Cruz of Cruz and Associates.

The presentation will center on Labor Relations and how the Obama Administration is attempting to pay back organized labor for his election.
Lupe Cruz has appeared as a PMAA guest speaker discussing the positive actions necessary to keeping your work force union free.

Mark W. Robbins has been exclusively engaged in the practice of labor and employment law since 1976 and is Chair of the Traditional Labor Law Practice Group in Littler Mendelson's Los Angeles office. He has extensive experience in all aspects of labor and employment law, including union organizational campaigns, collective bargaining, strikes, picketing, arbitrations, mergers and acquisitions, layoff and restructuring analysis including WARN and OWBPA compliance, wrongful discharge litiga­tion, equal employment law, workplace harassment, development and review of employee handbooks and personnel policies, and wage and hour matters.

Mr. Robbins represents both for-profit and non-profit employers in a wide range of industries, including health care, media, entertainment, manufacturing, retail, warehouse and distribution, transportation, construction, education, financial services, legal services, social services, temporary staffing services, insurance, hotel, restaurant, aerospace, automotive, petrochemical, and security. He also served for many years as Labor Counsel to the California Association of Health Facilities.
